My first Dragon flight. I will admit to my journal that it is quite scary being carried this high above the ground by a Dragon who doesn't seem to be the most coordinated. To distract ourselves we try and engage Felgolos in conversation about the blue Dragons whose lair he wants us to find. Conversing with a Dragon inflight whilst dangling in a carriage from his claws is quite difficult. Felgolos struggles to hear us from the carriage, and we must repeat ourselves many times. Here are some snippets of our conversations:"Their mother, Iymrith, is even worse."
"How do I fight them?" "Don't fight them. They are evil." "If I have to fight them, what should I do?" "Run!"
At one point we fly into a dense bank of clouds and it becomes very cold. We shout to Felgolos to fly a bit lower where it seems warmer. After much shouting and yelling he glides lower underneath the cloud bank. As we look out of the carriage windows, we can see we are traveling over what must be the Sword mountains. Yartar comes into view in the distance, and soon after Felgolos sets us down beside the Dessarin river. Landing was an experience I'd rather not repeat. We begin setting up camp for the evening in the Hut Leo conjures. Whilst we are preparing the camp, Felgolos walks into the trees nearby, and a few minutes later out walks a blond haired halfling who waves, and greets us, "Hello Friends".
We sit down after dinner, and Leo asks him endless questions about Dragonkind. Felgolos seems not to mind, but I pay little attention as I tend to my armour and work the new dents, marks and tarnishes from the shining plate. Felgolos' stories are all about his adventures of fighting evil and wrong doers. Leo says he's a self righteous idiot, but I am in awe of some of the Dragon's adventures. He would make a great follower of Tyr. Everything he does is for the greater good.
Celery asks whether he knows anything about the Kraken Society or Slarkrethel? Felgolos thinks its poppycock. Leo tries to tell him we've met them, but he thinks we're spinning him a wild tale. Has he met the Giant Queen? No.
Once I'm satisfied with my evenings work, I settle down in my blankets and fall asleep.
I awaken once, woke by some almighty snores coming from the little halfling sleeping peacefully.

The next day dawns clear and bright. We need a map as Chello has disappeared and she was the one with a talent for maps and navigation. None of us have the same sense of direction. Yartar is close by, and Felgolos agrees to a short diversion, although he won't himself come into Yartar. We are all back in the carriage waiting for Felgolos to lift us gracefully into the blue sky. I feel the carriage lurch as he grabs hold with his claws, we begin to rise, but then are suddenly dropped. We hear some loud shouting which must be Draconic, as Celery blanches listening to Felgolos' tirade. Eventually it subsides, and he tries a second time. His claws grab hold of the carriage again, and we lurch into the sky hanging below Felgolos as he springs off and soars into the sky.We are soon outside Yartar. Felgolos lands a little distant so as not to scare the inhabitants of the town, and we have a mile or so to travel to reach Yartar, and back to the Cartographer's shop we have visited before. We pick up a map of Faerun for 75 gold. Leo seems apoplectic with the amount we paid, but its only money.
We are soon back with Felgolos, and continuing our journey until the sun begins to set and Felgolos sets the carriage back down. The routine is similar to the previous night, and I'm soon fast asleep.

At dawn I give praise to the almighty Tyr, before we resume our journey. The day passes much like the previous two. The views are majestic, if somewhat frightening. We do have some excitement in the day. Sometime after the sun reaches its zenith in the sky, we hear Felgolos shout. Celery translates for us all.
"Keep Away! Get Away!"
There's another much younger green Dragon close by, keeping pace with us eyeing our carriage, but staying carefully outside of the range of Felgolos' breath.
"Give me that carriage, I want that carriage!" Every so often, the young Green Dragon dives towards us in an attempt to make Felgolos drop the carriage.
I pray to Tyr for protection, and a shimmering light envelops my body. "Felgolos, can you set us down so I can fight this beast?!".
Leo leans out of a window, and chants an incantation and points at the green Dragon. A ball of fire leaps away and explodes in a huge ball of fire and flames. I lose sight of the Dragon until it emerges from the fire and smoke, and dives towards us breathing acid all over the carriage as it flies by, burning many of us within who were close to the windows.
Celery does radiance of the dawn as he comes close which sears him abit.
Felgolos turns his head, following the track of the green, and taking in a big intake of air. I now recognise this as the precursor to his lightning breath, and as his head tracks the green, a huge arc of lightning stretches out and scorches the green Dragon in its chest area. The green emits a scream of pain, and turns and dives away, plummeting towards the earth and putting as much distance as it can between us.
Felgolos mutters something about stupid young Dragons and continues on his way.
The rest of the day passes uneventfully, and we camp by the nether mountains, between Alostin's hold and Everlund.

Today we should reach Ascore where Felgolos says these Dragons have built their lair. With a little trepidation I contemplate fighting a pair of blue Dragons, and I pray to Tyr to guide my sword arm, and make me strike true should the Dragons sight us. I don't doubt my ability but fighting two Dragons is a little daunting should it come to that.We have the usual ungraceful lift-off. Most of the day passes without incident, and I spend most of the time contemplating the upcoming encounter, and working through in my mind how I might fight the Dragons. I am brought out of my meditation when Celery shouts and points out of a window. Out of the window, Celery see a familiar large raptor silhouette (roc) with a rider. Its a giant, its not a frost giant, its larger than a frost giant. Think it might be a storm giant. Celery shouts to felgolos and tells him will that giant be a problem. The giant no, but the roc on the other hand might be a problem. With that, he changes course away from the Roc.
We're flying towards Ascore. Leo and Celery both say Acore was one of the only above ground dwarven settlements millenia ago. It was swallowed up by the desert, and the dwarves abandoned it. Its now mostly desert.
Towards the end of the day he says we're here, and we have a soft landing as we land in the desert. There are some very tall stone gates that block the road entirely. On each side are long lines of marble plinths. All empty, except the one nearest on the left hand side where there is a statue of an 8ft tall dragon carved from black stone.
How far are we from the lair of the blue dragons?
